Fragrant pandanus leaf plant (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb) contains antibacterial compounds such as flavonoids, alcolloids, saponins, and tannins. One alternative to overcome Escherichia coli bacterial infection is the use of fragrant leaves Roxb). This study aims determine effectiveness pandan extract amarllyfolius against growth bacteria. type research experimental using disc diffusion method. are extracted by maceration method ethanol 96% a solvent. The results found that average diameter bland zone at concentration 25% 6 mm, 50% 11.7 75% 12.3 positive control (Chloramphenicol) 25 negative (ethanol 96%) mm. conclusion can inhibit bacteria coli.
